Landscapes, for me, are not about money or sharing or contests or comments. Landscapes were and will always be the best way to get me out of the house. I originally started taking pictures as hobbyist just to get away from work, school, the city or life in general. They were a doorway into a world in which the only thing that mattered was my thoughts, the earth and the sun, moon and stars.

 

Much like the intimacy of people photography is outward, landscapes are the same for me only inward. They capture a time place that I will always love to look back on and reminisce. They provide excitement in planning the trip, serenity while making them and comfort in reflection.
